Participating Boutiques included:
Peyton's Place
215 Lavaca St.
(512) 477 5223
Located in the popular 2nd Street District, Peyton’s Place is an unassuming gem filled with some of our favorite labels (think French Connection, Sweetees, Matt & Nat, Interlude, and Level 99). The mocha-meets-sky-blue color scheme is at once soothing and sophisticated, and each of the boutique’s dressing rooms features its own mini chandelier. Feel like a bona fide celebrity when you pick up swag (complimentary goodie bags) and sip summery “champassion” cocktails.
Adelante
1206 W. 38th St., #4104
(512) 452 5322
With its appropriate moniker (adelante is Spanish for “onward”), this 38th Street boutique features fashion-forward designers such as Tulle, Leon Max, Kenzie, Porridge, and Free People. Swing by this open, airy space that blends funky and feminine by mixing metallic wallpaper, trendy lamps, and iron chandeliers throughout the store. Located in the 28 Doors shopping center, Adelante fits right in with its whimsical surroundings.. When the Boutique Crawl stops by Adelante, prepare for a festive little fiesta. DJ Troy Raw will keep the music flowing as shoppers enjoy beer, wine, and Latin-inspired appetizers from neighboring Mexican café Santa Rita.
Girl Next Door
250 W. 2nd St.
(512) 322-0501
Don’t be confused—Girl Next Door has not been converted to a nightclub. But you may think so when you walk into the store’s new 2nd Street location. Music from DJ DRM will set the tone while Boutique Crawlers peruse wall-to-wall creations by YaYa, Michelle Mason, Foley, Rock & Republic, Genetic, Vince, Alice + Olivia, and Ingwa Melero (sold exclusively at GND). Balance appetizers and libations (including champagne, wine, and beer), but keep that credit card handy, 'cause plenty of must-have pieces will no doubt beckon to you from the racks. Want a new look to complement your updated wardrobe? An Arbonne beauty specialist will conduct makeovers throughout the evening.
Touch of Sass 500 N. Lamar Blvd., #170
(512) 478 7277
At Touch of Sass, Alabama-born owner Currie Bucher displays bags, bling, and boots in a boutique reminiscent of a blue-hued French boudoir (complete with blue-and-white crystal chandeliers, antique-inspired seating, and estate furniture). “I want people to feel like they’re playing in their jewelry box,” Bucher explains. All of the gems are kept in unlocked drawers to encourage customers to try on jewelry without inhibition. Venture into the shop’s shoe salon (which just opened in January) and slip on a pair of Pink or BCBG heels. Luckily, Bucher will offer plenty of shopping sustenance—including Southern-style appetizers and Sass-tinis (the store’s signature champagne martini).
Soigne Boutique
4800 Burnet Rd., #410
(512) 300 2929
Soigne (pronounced “swan-yay”) translates to “elegant” in French, so it’s a good thing this Burnet boutique lives up to its moniker. Its ultra-feminine rose-and-cream color scheme is accented with crystal light fixtures and modern art, including an iron screen and underwater photography. The decor reflects the same kind of sartorial style customers can expect to find in the store: Hale Bob, Voom, and Anoname are just a few of the labels housed here. If you’re a jeans aficionado, be on the lookout for MEK Denim; Soigne is Austin’s exclusive dealer for this luxe line. Soigne will offer a 15 percent discount on all clothing, shoes, and purses to Boutique Crawlers.
SoLa
2005 S. Lamar Blvd.
(512) 441 7370
At SoLa, fashion, stationery, makeup, and accessories collide in a delightful hodgepodge of style. You’ll find brands like Bizz, Salt & Pepper, and E-klah at prices that won’t blow your budget. (Case in point: funky gold dove earrings cost a mere $12; chic sunglasses are priced at $15.) And even though summer is almost over, get a head start on next year by browsing the shop’s swimwear collection, with pieces from Estam, Phax, and Bambu. Check out Annika Salame’s one-of-a-kind jewelry line called By Boe, made from vintage glass, wood, acrylic, and coconut ceramic. Lighthearted stationery from RockPaperScissors and high-quality makeup from NYX round out the merchandise at SoLa.
Sana
237 W. 2nd St.
(512) 258 3458
Sana, the new kid on the Austin fashion scene, opened its doors in June and has been doing its part to outfit scene-stealers ever since. With designers like BCBG, Badgley Mischka, Calvin Klein, and Michael Kors, expect to find luxurious fabrics and well-tailored fits. While you’re perusing this chic, loft-like downtown space, be sure to check out two of Sana’s more unusual offerings: its trendy rain boots and stylish—and functional—umbrellas. During the Boutique Crawl you can sample wine and cheese as you browse the racks.
Solid Gold
1601 E. 5th St., #102
(512) 473 2730
Owners Katie Friedman and Anya Jack each claim part of the name: Katie (who runs the fashion side) is the “solid,” and Anya (who runs the massage and beauty side of the boutique) is the “gold.” Friedman decided early on that she would focus on fabrics and design—specifically solids. “Solid-colored clothing is just timeless,” she explains. Versatile jewelry is well represented—in particular, necklaces by Crush. Drinks and appetizers will be served during the Boutique Crawl evening. Let your conscience rest easy while you load up on must-have pieces; Solid Gold will donate 10 percent of the night's sales to Austin charity Any Baby Can.
The Royal Family
500 San Marcos St., #104
(512) 485 3081
Channel your inner hipster, swing by the Royal Family’s eastside shop, and chat with owner Lauren Thumlert. TRF’s gray and white color scheme, tin roof, exposed pipes, and concrete floors give customers a place to pick up fashions from WESC, Built by Wendy, Mike and Chris and Dolan. Binth stationery and graphic design books, lend an artistic air to the boutique and will make you remember that you’re still in Austin. Nibble snacks from neighbor Progress Coffee, sip Royal Cocktails, and alleviate any guilt about your purchases with the knowledge that 15 percent of the Royal Family’s Boutique Crawl sales will be donated to charity the Shoreline House.
Octane
201 W. 2nd St.
(512) 482 9733
This boutique on the rise started in Dallas's West Village. Owner and Ort Varona offers an interesting array of options for both men and women. This fall, look for andrea s., Julie Brown, LaROK, Ella Moss, Built by Wendy, and Rock & Republic. The 2nd Street District boutique offers some of the best denim selections in town. Although the store was born in Dallas, this shopping stop is just Austin's style. Boutique Crawlers can enjoy wine and bubbly from Barefoot Wines as well as chocolate fondue from the Melting Pot.

Intermix
The Domain
11600 Century Oaks Terrace
Space #116
(512) 835 0110
Since its inception in 1993, Intermix has evolved into more than a word or a boutique, it is now a lifestyle. The concept is simple, and has been embraced and championed by the most stylish women throughout the country: a boutique should merchandise its clothing for the way a woman actually intends to wear it. The looks and brands carried by Intermix are always feminine and fashion forward and there is a “mix” of established and emerging designers at a range of prices. Collections you can expect to find in an Intermix boutique include Stella McCartney, Matthew Williamson, Missoni, Diane von Furstenberg, J. Brand, Brian Atwood, Chloe, KORS by Michael Kors, and Thread Social.
