Perry's Steakhouse and Grille Opening

Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille celebrated their grand opening with a dinner benefiting the Austin Symphony. Perry’s is family-owned and was founded in 1979 in Houston, and the Austin location in the Norwood Tower at the corner of Colorado and Seventh Streets opened its doors in October.

Wine From the Heart

The HeartGift Foundation kicked off its first annual Wine from the Heart event with an evening of cocktails followed by a finewine dinner, all to celebrate a good cause. After delectable food and drinks at Cypress Mill Ranch, the guests, clad in the best of Western chic, bid on collectible wines, spectacular travels, and luxury shopping opportunities at the live and silent auctions.

20th Annual Holiday Swing

Partygoers gathered at the Dell Jewish Community Center for the 20th annual Holiday Swing Gala. Some even arrived early for dance lessons. The Sentimental Journey Orchestra, inspired by the Big Bands of the 1940s, provided the proper tunes to inspire everyone to dance the night away.

W Austin Hotel & Residences’ Canteen Preview

Austin’s favorite chef, Tyson Cole, celebrated his newest venture, Canteen, with a private tasting and holiday party for the W Austin Residences and friends at 2nd Street’s midcentury modern gallery, Kirk. Canteen is the latest addition to Block 21, which includes the W Austin Hotel & Residences and the much-anticipated Austin City Limits Studio Theater.

TRIBEZA readers and some of those featured in the December Gold Cover issue gathered at one of the 2nd Street District’s hot new furniture spots, BoConcept to celebrate the season. This special issue of TRIBEZA celebrates 10 of the city’s most fascinating people, like the face on our cover, Taylor Kitsch, the breakout star of Friday Night Lights who will soon be appearing on the big screen in X Men Origins: Wolverine. Guests browsed through the store’s sleek sofas, dining tables, and many other home accessories in the store at 430 W. Second Street while chatting with some of the interesting people featured in the issue like Mike Levy, Nav Sooch, Chris Cowden, Rebecca Robinson, Quincy Adams Erickson, and among others Michael Hsu.
