Hollywood glamour of the 1930s was revived at Collection 2008: Cinéma de la Vie. The Dallas Chapter of the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) hosted the 19th annual event, an evening filled with fashion and art. The TACA group took over the Dallas Theater Center for its grant awards presentation, distributing $1 million to 36 North Texas performing arts organizations.
